The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data with which you could be personally identified.
Data Collection on This Website
Who is responsible for data collection on this website?
The data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find their contact details in the “Information about the responsible party” section of this privacy policy.
2. General Notes and Mandatory Information
Information about the responsible party
The responsible party for data processing on this website is:
Titans Rising Verein für Alte Musik Berlin e.V.
Hauptstraße 3c
10317 Berlin
Phone: +49 162 8998 658
Email: [email protected]
The responsible party is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data.
Revocation of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke your consent at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out before the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation. If you have given us consent for specific processing activities (e.g. analytics, external web fonts, or our newsletter), you can withdraw that consent at any time via our cookie consent tool or by contacting us using the details above.
Rights of the data subject
Within the scope of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correct, block, or delete this data.
3. Data Collection on This Website
Server log files
The provider of the pages (hosting) automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
These data are not combined with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of our website; for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.
Cookies and consent
This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device and do not cause any damage. Some cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. remembering your language selection or protecting the site against automated abuse). Other cookies are used to analyze how visitors use our website or to load content and fonts from external providers; these non-essential cookies and similar technologies are only activated with your prior consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time via our cookie consent banner.
Web analytics (Matomo)
We use the open-source web analytics tool Matomo (formerly Piwik) on our own server to analyze how visitors use our website. Matomo uses cookies that are stored on your device and allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated (e.g. pages visited, referrer URL, and technical browser data) is stored exclusively on our own server in Germany and is not shared with third parties. Matomo is only activated with your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG); you can withdraw your consent at any time via our cookie consent banner.
Content delivery network & bot protection (Cloudflare, incl. Turnstile)
This website uses the services of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Cloudflare”) as a content delivery network (CDN) and security provider. Cloudflare sits between your browser and our server for every request, which allows it to route traffic efficiently and protect our website against attacks and abuse; in doing so it processes your IP address and other request data. We also use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-friendly alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs, on our contact and newsletter forms to protect them from automated spam and bot submissions without requiring you to solve visual puzzles. The use of Cloudflare, including Turnstile, is based on our legitimate interest in the security and reliable operation of our website (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which serves as the legal basis for any transfer of data to the USA. Further information is available in Cloudflare’s privacy policy at cloudflare.com.
Web fonts (Google Fonts & Adobe Fonts)
This website uses web fonts provided by Google (Google Fonts) and Adobe (Adobe Fonts / Typekit) to display text consistently across browsers. When you visit a page using these fonts, your browser loads the required font files directly from Google’s or Adobe’s servers, which involves transmitting your IP address to these providers. We only load these external fonts with your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG), given via our cookie consent banner. Further information is available in Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy and Adobe’s privacy policy at adobe.com/privacy.html.
4. Newsletter
Newsletter data & Mailchimp
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on this website, we require an email address from you, along with confirmation that you are the owner of the address provided and agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected, or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data solely to send the requested newsletter.
We use the email marketing platform Mailchimp, provided by The Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA (“Mailchimp”), to manage and send our newsletter. Your email address and any other data you provide in the sign-up form are transferred to and stored by Mailchimp on servers in the USA. Mailchimp participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which provides an appropriate level of data protection for this transfer. Within the limits of its own privacy policy, Mailchimp may use this data for the technical optimization or improvement of its own services, for example to optimize the technical delivery and display of the newsletter, or for statistical purposes; Mailchimp does not use this data to contact you itself or pass it on to other third parties.
We use a double opt-in procedure for our newsletter: we only send the newsletter once you have expressly confirmed your subscription via a confirmation link sent to the email address you provided. This confirms that you are the actual owner of the email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. When you sign up, we store your IP address and the date and time of registration and confirmation, as evidence in case a third party misuses an email address to sign up without the account holder’s knowledge.
You can revoke your consent to receiving the newsletter and having your data stored for that purpose at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in every newsletter. The legality of already-completed data processing operations remains unaffected by the revocation. Data stored for the purpose of the newsletter sign-up will be deleted once you unsubscribe. Further information can be found in Mailchimp’s privacy policy. The legal basis for this processing is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).
5. Ticket Sales via Third-Party Providers
Eventim Light / Kulturbüro Elisabeth
Tickets for BFAM events are not sold or processed on this website. “Tickets” and “Buy tickets” links redirect you to an external ticketing platform (eventim-light.com), operated by our box office partner, Kulturbüro Elisabeth, via its account with CTS Eventim.
Once you leave our website via such a link, your booking and payment, and any personal data you provide there (e.g. name, address, email address, payment details), are processed entirely by Kulturbüro Elisabeth and Eventim in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not receive or have access to this data, and we are not responsible for data processing on their platform. Please review Eventim’s privacy policy on eventim-light.com before completing a purchase. [https://elisabeth.berlin/de/datenschutzerklaerung]
6. Photo and Video Recordings at Events
Recordings during our events
Photo and video recordings: During the event, photographs and, where applicable, video recordings will be taken and published for the purposes of documenting the event and public relations. The recordings may in particular be used on the website and social media channels of the organizer, Titans Rising Verein für Alte Musik Berlin e.V., as well as in press and public relations activities.
We also point out that recordings are being made by means of notices at the entrances to the venues.
Legal basis
The taking and publication of the recordings is based on our legitimate interest in documenting the event and in the association’s public relations work (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). When recordings are published on social networks (e.g. Instagram, Facebook), data is processed by the respective providers under their own responsibility; this may involve a transfer of data to third countries such as the USA.
Your right to object
You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the taking and publication of recordings in which you are recognizable (Art. 21 GDPR). To do so, please speak to the photography team on site or write to us at [email protected]. We will review your objection without delay and, where possible, remove recordings in which you are recognizable.
Children and family events
For events aimed at families and children (e.g. family concerts), we ask parents and guardians to let us know on site, or in advance at [email protected], if they do not wish recordings to be made of their children.
