November 26, 2026 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm St. Matthäus-Kirche

Founded in 2014, the TITANS RISING Ensemble für Alte Musik is directed by Sarah Fuhs (voice) and Amanda Markwick (Renaissance transverse flute). The ensemble is dedicated to the historically informed performance of Renaissance and Baroque music. Its chamber music programs range from Renaissance polyphony and 17th-century sacred music to the early Italian Baroque and the Baroque music of South America.

A particular focus lies in bringing historical figures and events to life through the music of their time. In the series Femmes fascinantes, TITANS RISING highlights influential women from politics and the arts, including Margaret of Austria, Lucrezia Borgia and Isabella d’Este, north Italian nuns, and Claude-Catherine de Clermont. At the same time, the ensemble is committed to rarely performed works and unjustly forgotten composers.
