The Sollazzo Ensemble is an acclaimed group dedicated to Medieval and Renaissance music. Founded in 2014 by Anna Danilevskaia, the ensemble is known for its expressive performances and distinctive artistic approach, combining historical research with personal interpretation.
Sollazzo collaborates with leading European heritage institutions and is currently ensemble-in-residence at the Arsenal in Metz, and part of “The Makers” program at the Concertgebouw Bruges. After winning the NCEM and Cambridge Early Music prizes at the 2015 York Early Music Competition, the group released its debut album Parle qui veut (Linn Records).
In partnership with the Alamire Foundation, Sollazzo recorded the complete repertoire of the recently discovered Leuven Chansonnier in four volumes (2019–2024). Their recordings, focused on 13th- through 15th-century repertoires, have received major awards, including Diapason d’Or, Gramophone Editor’s Choice, and BBC Music Magazine CD of the Month.
The ensemble performs regularly at leading festivals and venues across Europe, the USA, and Asia.
